About Lilith. In the early Hebrew mythology, Lilith is the first woman created by God for Adam. After she refused to submit to him, she was sent back to Darkness, where she became a demon. She is known as the first vampire and is the mother of all incubi and succubi.

Name of the site

When I started this fanlisting, I named it Goddess/Demoness, because of the ambiguous reputation of Lilith. Although mostly described as a demon or a vampire, she also has been considered a Goddess, and I like this two-sided representation. However, Lilith also goes by the name Lady of Night, and my personal domain is Lady-of-Light.net (it's named after Galadriel but that's another story). So. I figured, lady-of-night.net would be an amazing domain name. And. I have an amazing friend who herself goes by the name of Emma Hyphen Jane and she bought me that very domain. Hence the site now being called Lady of Night and having its own spiffy domain!
